"Dana!"

The blonde gave a sigh as she heard her younger sister yell her name as she ran through the house.

"Danaaa!" She whines again.

"In here Celia!" She calls out to the brunette as she closes the book on her lap and puts it on the bed before pulling her long legs up and crossing them.

"Oh! Hi! I need to interview you!" Celia grinned happily.

"Interview me? For what?" Dana raised a brow and crossed her arms over her chest. Celia was working very hard on her journalism class in her senior year in highschool. It had been a hard adjustment since their mom had died a month ago in a work accident. But the girls were managing.

"For a piece I'm writing. Please?? It's perfect for you! It's about food!"

The mention of food grabs her attention and she eyes her sister closely. "Alright alright, what's the article about?"

"Well it's answering the question 'What do the days of the week taste like' !" She beams and opens her note book. "I'm asking a bunch of people and then comparing it! It's going to be on the front page!"

Dana smiled to her little sister and ruffled her hair. "Alright alright, Ms. Front page. I need to get dinner started, come in the kitchen with me and I'll answer that, is it all 7 days? Or the 5 day work week?" She questions as both her and her sister make her way down to the kitchen.

"All 7 days! Starting with Monday! Just like the british calendars in our rooms!" She giggles at her sisters side before stopping at the threshold to the kitchen. Mom had done all she could to teach her girls the love of food, but since her death she still couldn't bring herself to enter the kitchen. Dana turned back and looked to her with a small frown. "You can't come in yet can you?" As Celia shook her head and teared up Dana stepped forward and knelt down to hug her sister close. "Shh... shh it's okay. How about we get a pizza tonight okay? We can get whatever you want and I'll answer your questions while we eat.... Okay?"

She sniffled but nodded, holding onto her older sister tightly around the middle. Scooping Celia up Dana walked to the living room and ordered the pizza. Using the time it took to calm her sister down. Once it got there they ate straight from the box and she answered the days of the week slowly so her sister could jot down notes.

"Okay okay... so Sundays.. what to sundays taste like?" Celia asked looking up from her notebook.

"Sundays...Sundays start out warm and comfy, like hot chocolate and pecan rolls... then they get a little savory, like... 5 cheese pasta bake... but the night? The night has a kick like cocktails on the beach..." Dana replied, eyes closed and head cocked to one side.

"Why a kick at night?" Celia questioned.

"Because Sunday nights are when you realize Monday is coming again and the work week starts allll over again." She smiled as her emerald eyes opened again.

"Mom used to have a drink of wine on the beach after we went to bed when I was really little... was it for the sunday kick?" She asked as Dana smiled.

"You know what? It may have been..." Celia nodded and curled up against her older sister with a yawn.

"I love you Dana..."

"I love you too Celia."

"Hey! Lexi!" I shout as I come home and dump my bag on the floor. Paper in hand I make my way to his room as the redhead pops his head from the doorway.

"What's up?" My roommate Alex asks as he looks me over. Seeing the paper in my hands he groans lightly.

"Oh lord..."

"Oh lord is right!" I snap the paper against his arm.

"Hunt for Red October is a fantastic movie! How could you list it as one of the 12 worst of all times?! Matrix I get, the scream movies, of course, Little miffed about Sweeney Todd, but you're right the old one was way better... But Hunt for Red October!? Come on!" I narrow my eyes and wait for him to respond.

"Now, Haley... calm down. I only wrote it up the notes I was given, the only real opinion I gave was on the Scream movies." He gently took the paper from me and out his boss' name was the one it was published under.

"Oh..." I blink and look to it then him before giving a low growl. "You still could have pointed out a few good qualities."

"Sure... if it had some!" He smirked before dashing past me and out to the deck.

"Take that back!" I shout as I grab the hose from the side of the house and point it to him.

"Never!" He grins and slowly tries to circle around me.

"For the Red October!" I yell as I turn the cold water on the hose and completely soak him. As he gives a not so manly squeal I make sure he's entirely doused before turning the hose off and putting it down on the ground. "Justice is sort of served..." I smirk and turn away from him to head back to the house.

"Nope!" He lunges forward and wraps his cold wet arms around me. "You can't be all left out! You need a good soaking too!" Picking me up as I kick and squirm he walks to the pool and drops me into the water, pulling a scream from me.

Once I come to the surface I glare at him.

"Bad kitty is wet now." he smirked with his best Sean Connery accent.

"You're an idiot..." I try and keep my glare but can only laugh at my best friend as he strips off his shirt and jumps into the pool where we both spend the rest of the night discussing movies and racing each other.

Partnership and Updates!

Hello Hatchlings!

So before the daily writings start up I wanted to get a few things to be known!

The prompts I'll be using will be chosen and approved by myself and Belle from http://belleblogsbooks.blogspot.co.uk/ !

Belle is a long time friend of mine and yes she is in the UK where I'm in the states.

Her and I have decided to team up and take the same prompts and respond to them in our blogs here! So you can always go see what I'm up too and then check out Belle as well and give her some Hatchling love!

There are some other "rules" we've put on ourselves as far as how long we have to post a piece from a prompt and such so things should go pretty smoothly!

Now I DO want to put this out there that there IS an age limit on this blog! Because of the swearing and possibility of dark/bloody/sexual content on this blog I want to put it out there that any little kids or teens that's found this blog stop reading.

Obviously I can't enforce this, so if you are under the age of 18 and you read on, that's your choice, but I strongly suggest you heed my warning!

Moving on!

Comments are open to new comes as well as those with accounts and I'm always welcoming new Hatchlings to come join me!

I will do my best to get a prompt post up soon but the guidelines are still being worked on.

Welcome

Hello and welcome to my writing blog!

On this blog I'll be taking writing prompts from various places and be filling out the prompts here.

Do I think this will be a big international viral blog?

Pft... Of course not!

Those that find and read it... HI!

If no one ever looks at it... then oh well!

The real reason for this is to get myself in the habit of writing every day, both to keep writer block at bay as well as to hopefully come across an idea that expands beyond just a prompt and perhaps to a novel, or a series!

Only time will tell how this turns out!

Until next time!
